open call for south african artists

Entries are now open for the Something Blue Art Exhibition, taking place from 26–28 November 2026 in Rayton, Bloemfontein.

Artists aged 18 years and older from anywhere in South Africa are invited to submit their work for consideration.

This year’s theme, “Something Blue,” can be interpreted in any creative way, whether your artwork is created entirely in shades of blue or features a prominent blue element.  All art mediums are welcome, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, and digital art (no AI-generated artwork).

Artists may submit up to three artworks for an administration and adjudication fee of R250. Please note that submission does not guarantee acceptance, as all entries will be reviewed and selected based on quality and available exhibition space.
