Not only does it show that you mean business and look more professional. It also makes it easier for people to follow you on Facebook.

• Easier to share page versus profile content
• You can promote your page to reach a wider audience
• No limit to audience. Profile has a limit of max 5000 friends. A Facebook Page has no limits.
You can utilize Facebook Advertising Services to promote your page to a selected audience
• Add the link to all your marketing material (website, business cards, posters, events, behind artworks, stickers and more
• Tell people about your page whether it is to friends, family, customers, or during networking opportunities
Facebook regularly changes their setup and ways of operating. So it is important to stay up to date on the latest features and more
• Go for Facebook Training at local or online Social Media Specialists.
• Listen or watch Free Facebook Podcasts & other Tutorials
Your Facebook Page like all Social media accounts should have a variety of type of content. From behind the scenes, exhibition shots, work in progress, to fully completed artworks. Play around until you find something that you love that represents your personality and goals
Nothing bring your account down like bad quality imagery and videos. If you can afford it, ask a professional photographer to photograph/videograph your imagery. Alternatively take a course to learn how to do it on your own. Youtube has many amazing tutorials completely free on the internet.
Sharing to Facebook Groups from your page is a free and effictive way to grow your following. However there is a few guidelines
• Always read the rules of all Facebook Groups and abide by them. Some don’t allow sharing from pages, some don’t allow hashtags or some is a discussion group and not the right place to share artworks.
• Don’t overdo it. Share to maximum 3 – 4 groups per hour and always mix it up.
• Share to the right groups. Don’t share pencil drawings to an oilpaint forum. It can lead to immediate banning.
Just like in Instagram, Collabing with other brands and businesses on Facebook is an effective way to grow your following. Done right it can be an amazing strategy for all partners involved.
